YIZUMI Donated 1 Million Yuan to Help Hemodialysis Patients

On 28th May, the support program for hemodialysis patients and their families was initiated in The Affiliated Shunde Hospital of Jinan University. YIZUMI donated 1 million RMB to mainly support hemodialysis patients and their families in this hospital.

During the ceremony, YIZUMI Chairman Chen Jingcai passed the cheque to Chen Yubing, deputy party secretary and director of The Affiliated Shunde Hospital of Jinan University. The money will be directly used for the support program.

This program mainly supports hemodialysis patients and their families in this hospital, especially for people living on minimum subsistence allowances and people living in extreme poverty, relieving their economic stress from long-term treatment. Besides, YIZUMI organized volunteers to hold a series of warm activities with the patients such as birthday party, health lecture.

It is understood that there are 20 available hemodialysis machines in hemodialysis center, the Affiliated Shunde Hospital of Jinan University and 72 hemodialysis patients there. The hemodialysis medical bill is monthly 10 thousand RMB on average (except hospitalization because of complication), patients have to pay about 2 thousand RMB under reimbursement of social security. The medical bill becomes the main economic burden for hemodialysis patients and their families, especially for people living on minimum subsistence allowances and people living in extreme poverty.

"We hope the money could provide practical assistance, reducing economic burden for the patients and their families." Zhang Yuemei, deputy party secretary of YIZUMI said. Yizumi hopes to devote its little effort for society, bringing hope to the patients and their families with the hospital, compassion public and agencies hand in hand.
